Our butterfly hut and a picture of our butterfly lap books. This was a very nice unit with a wonderful class with Mrs. Rhodes. The recorded class was a great reference for us.

They're here!!

Waiting to hatch. You can almost see the outline of the painted lady in the chrysalis.

Our Butterfly Adventure

Our caterpillars going into J formation and a chrysalis.

Aaron's Butterflies

The first one hatches during class.
If you look closely you can see the one on the disc emerging.
You can almost see the one on the left emerging.

Painted Ladies.

A better view of the hatching butterfly.

We put a plant into the habitat after noticing them breeding. It will be interesting to see if they laid any eggs.

Release day.

One of my caterpillars is bigger than the rest. We have 6 in all. They will be Monarch butterflies.
They are in a butterfly house on a Milkweed plant.

Butterly camp

Aaron's butterflies are breeding! We put a plant into the habitat so they have something to lay eggs on if they actually make eggs. It will be interesting to see if this happens since the pamphlet says it usually won't.
